Hi, my name is Sandra and I’m a Data Scientist based in London, UK. 👩 💻
I currently work at Elvie - a femtech start-up developing smarter technology for women. I'm passionate about using technology to improve people's health and well-being! Before becoming Data Scientist, I worked as a Neuroscience Researcher and Data Analyst at the University of Roehampton. I used Magnetic Resonance Imaging to explore the influence of childhood trauma on brain development. The thing I find the most exciting about Data Science is problem-solving and a chance to constantly learn new tools and technologies! My favourite programming language is Python but I’m also familiar with Matlab and SQL. I'm experienced in machine learning, data visualisation, NLP and data wrangling. I also dabble in web technologies to build websites and display my dashboards. Outside of Data Science, I volunteer at the MenopauseX project which aims to use data to demonstrate the cost of menopause to the economy and, in turn, improve the health and well-being of menopausal women and trans/non-binary people everywhere.
